Giggles at a place of refuge and safety
Updated: Apr 16, 2019
Day one. Iquitos, Peru. Spending time with the children at Poppy's House. Cutting down coconuts, chopping into the good stuff, and jumping rope with the best of them. I feel refreshed by the laughter, smiles, and cool coconut water fresh from the nut. Happy and beautiful girls live here.
Poppy’s House, People of Peru Projects Youth Services, is a home for girls who are abandoned by their families, court-ordered or living in a bad situation. Nine girls are currently living in this place of safety, learning life skills, and attend a local public school.
